Believe
Belief has its place. It can give you that motivation, that little push to try harder, to keep going when things feel shit. It can make you feel like you can, and sometimes that feeling is enough to get you moving. But feeling capable isn’t the same as actually achieving results and/or being capable. Action, skill, knowledge, environment, planning, and understanding your reality, those are what turn effort into outcomes. Belief alone is just a starting point, not the finish line.
If you want to believe in something, believe in the fact you're smart enough to understand that these motivational quotes don't really mean anything significant when it comes to real life. Believe in your own ability to figure things out, to act, to adapt. Don’t be swayed by feel-good statements that sound fulfilling. Test things, push yourself, and trust what you can actually do, not just what sounds nice.
Life doesn’t hand out wins to those who just “believe.” It rewards the ones who see reality clearly, who prepare, who move with intention, and who keep their eyes open while everyone else is doing nothing besides "believing" they'll make it in life.
