Unfollow

It doesn't mean I hate you when I delete you from my socials. It's not about holding grudges or trying to make a point. Sometimes, I just need to manage my online space in a way that works for me, and that's all there is to it. It’s got nothing to do with you personally, it’s more about the vibe I want around me.

I get it, you've got stuff happening in your life and you wanna share it. New job, holiday pics, or even just how your day’s going, I’m all for it, I respect that. But sometimes, when the posts keep coming one after another, it can feel like a bit much. Not that I’m not interested in what you’re doing, but when every time I scroll, there’s something new from you, it kinda doesn’t leave any space for us to actually connect. I already know what you're up to, so where’s the room for a proper chat? Sometimes, I just want to scroll without feeling like I’ve already seen everything you’ve posted. It’s not about shutting you out, it’s about wanting to connect on a deeper level, not just reading a constant stream of updates.

Another reason I might delete or unfollow is ‘cause your posts usually don't align with what I want to see anymore. The things you’re posting, whether it's your opinions, lifestyle, or just the overall vibe isn't really on the same wavelength as mine. It’s not me judging you, it’s just that we’ve probably shifted, and what you're sharing doesn’t really resonate with me anymore. When I keep seeing posts that don’t match my thoughts or feelings, it just starts feeling a bit off. Social media is supposed to be a place where I feel in tune with the people I follow, and when that connection’s not there, it just doesn’t feel right.

I’m not trying to push you away or make things weird. I just need to protect my mental space and keep my feed somewhere that feels good.

It’s nothing personal, don’t take it like you're a bad person or anything. I know you’re living your life and I’m living mine. Maybe down the road, things will be different and we’ll reconnect. But for now, it’s just about creating space that works for me. No hard feelings at all.
