Money Doesn’t Buy Happiness.

Money should not be your entire goal in life. If you make it the centre of everything, you will probably end up rich and still miserable. But acting like money has nothing to do with happiness, then you are definitely lying.

A lot of anxiety disappears when the bills are paid.

A lot of depression becomes easier to manage when you are not constantly stressed about rent.

A lot of “laziness” looks different when you can afford to do all those hobbies.

When the fridge is full, the lights stay on, and there is enough in the account to survive an emergency, your mind has room to think about more than just getting through the week.

That does not mean money buys happiness. It buys breathing room.

It is hard to work on yourself when you are in survival mode. Hard to heal. Hard to think clearly. Hard to be patient, motivated, or optimistic when every month feels like a countdown to another problem.

People with money still have issues. They still get lonely, anxious, insecure, and depressed. Money does not automatically give you purpose, good relationships, discipline, or peace of mind.

But there is a difference between being depressed in a warm house with food in the fridge and being depressed while wondering how you are going to pay rent. One of those situations comes with an extra layer of pressure.

The truth is, money is not everything, but a lack of money makes almost everything harder. You do not need to worship money. You do not need to believe more is always better. But you do need to accept reality. The more financially secure you are, the easier it becomes to build a life that actually has a chance of making you happy.

Money doesn't buy happiness, but it helps.
