Innah
If you’ve ever trusted me with something, that’s exactly where it stays. Even if we stop talking, even if things go left, I’m not about to talk your business. But don’t get me wrong. If you ever put me in a situation where I have to defend myself, then I’ll clear my name. And if clearing my name means repeating what you said, that’s on you, not me.
People love to think because I don’t like to run my mouth, because I’m not quick to clap back or tell my side, it must mean I’m in the wrong. Or because I’m quiet, they think I’ll never speak up. Nah. I’m quiet because I don’t want everyone innah my business. I’d rather keep things to myself. But the second you try and spin a situation or drag my name into something, I’ll use the truth to protect my image. I’m not letting anyone throw dirt on my name when I’ve got the facts.
Some people only keep quiet when it benefits them or to take advantage of others. That’s why I hold trust so high. Because once it’s broken, it’s broken. When I say something stays with me, it stays with me. Unless you’re the one who forces my hand.
And that’s what people don’t get. It’s not about exposing anyone. It’s about restraint. It’s about holding things, keeping things, and still not using them against someone even when you could. But if you decide to use my silence to damage my character, you’ve already decided what game you want to play. And you see me, I’ll always defend my truth before I let someone drag my name through the mud.
